What features and modes are available in the app?
Once you have learnt enough words and phrases, you will be able to select from three different review modes: Review, Difficult Words and Speed Review. Head to the Home tab and click under Ready for Review to start one of these.
How will I be tested?
While learning with Memrise, you will be presented with five different types of tests: Tapping, Typing, Multiple choice, Listening skills and Comprehension.
Tapping Tests
When presented with a tapping test, you will have to tap the individual words to put them in the correct order.
Typing Tests
When presented with a typing test, you must tap the letters on the in-app keyboard in the correct order to spell the translation of the given word or phrase.
Multiple Choice
When presented with a multiple-choice test, you will have to choose the correct translation from 4 options.
Listening Skills
With Listening Skills, you will have to listen to the pronunciation and type the word you hear or select it from the multiple-choice options. You can turn audio tests off by clicking the speakerphone symbol at the top of the session or going to your Learning & sound settings.
Comprehension
You will be played a clip and asked to tap the screen when you hear a given word.
